I was originally asked by my manager Kriss about a year ago if I wanted to become a notary. I thought it seemed okay, but then I got crazy busy doing a million other things. When Kriss left and our new assistant manager moved up this way, we thought we were good on notaries. Only problem, new assistant manager lives in Idaho, and can't become a notary for Utah.

So, I decided to step up and do it. I studied hard, stressed even harder, cried a little, but I luckily passed on my very first try. Then my notary stamp came in the mail, and when I stamped my notary for the very first time, I was just elated.

Well, kind of. It really was pretty neat, but I was also (and still am) terrified to notarize anything, but I did it. I can check this off my bucket list, and probably never ever use it outside of work! (Though, I did tell everyone I was going to start charging for my notary services.

With the exception of Sea World, I haven't ever been to a major theme park. Sure, growing up I always wanted to go to Disney Land, but I never had the opportunity. To be honest, the only reason I want to go at this point, is to say I've gone.

This year, Greg and I decided to go on a vacation for his Spring Break. This is the first solo vacation we have taken outside of Utah/Idaho/Wyoming. Needless to say, I was pretty excited. We decided to go to Long Beach, California, and spend some time at Universal Studios Hollywood. They had a deal going on where you could be a two-day pass for just $10 more than a single day pass. We decided to do it, just in case we didn't get everything on the first day.
First, you have to understand that I am obsessed with California! (Technically anything outside of UIW, but mostly Cali!). I love the trees, the traffic, the smog, the weather. I love it all. We got to the park right close to when it opened, and started our adventures.

We went on the studio tour first, which was our favorite. We got to hop on a trolley thing and ride through the park seeing the various studios, and different lots where they have filmed various movies and TV shows.

The best part was when our trolley lost power going up the hill. We sat there for a while, then this truck behind us started pushing us up. It was really quite funny, and just added to the adventure.
Because of the hiccup with the bus, our tour was cut a little short. It's okay though, because they gave us these passes for being so awesome and patient. Greg and I didn't end up using it, but gave it to a family of 6 that had some little kids.
It was really the best part of the park. We did it again on day 2 to see what we missed the first time, then that also was cut a little short because they were filming the pilot for a new series, and we had to be quiet.

The rest of the time was mostly spent walking from one area to the next. It was really fun seeing the different parts of the park. Over the two days we were able to hit all of the rides, so that was good. Day 1 was pretty busy, but day 2 was a little slower. We didn't have to wait in lines for too long, so that was a plus.
There were about 4 of these escalators from the top level to the bottom. It was pretty incredible how big and steep they were. It was good people watching as well.
The Jurassic Park ride was another favorite, at least for me. I love all sorts of rides and rollercoasters, and of course, water. We didn't get splashed too much, but it was still fun.
It was a really fun two days. If you're going for rides, it's not the greatest place to do so as there really weren't a lot of rides, however there is a lot to see, and the people watching is pretty great. Plus it's in California, so how can it not be awesome. Would I go again? Most definitely!

My friend Lindsay is pretty amazing. She knew of my obsession with One Direction, and with the help of some of my other family & friends, was able to make this trip possible for me.

My mom and I flew into Phoenix about 10:30 in the morning on September 16, 2014. Linds picked us up and drove us back to her house in Gilbert. It was surprisingly beautiful down there. I was expecting complete desert, but was surprised to see mountains and farm land.
Lindsay lives really close to the new Gilbert temple, so she drove us by it so we could see it up close. It was absolutely beautiful.
The concert didn't start until 7:00 that evening, but we left around 3:00. It took forever to get there. We literally listened to the One Direction CD three times all the way through. Traffic was insane! The last our we were stuck on the off-ramp. So many cars!

When we finally parked in the mall parking lot next to the stadium, we found my Aunt Marcie so my mom could hang out with her while Linds and I went to the concert. I don't know why I was still shocked at the number of people there, but it was seriously amazing. So many girls. I am pretty sure Linds and I were the only ones over the age of 25 that didn't have kids with us, but it's okay. I'm sure we totally fit in.
Linds got us great seats. If it were a football game, we would have been about the goal line, two rows up. It was amazing. We only had one row of people to look over. The pictures I took don't even do justice of how close were were.
It was also my first time being in an NFL stadium. It was HUGE, and AMAZING! So loud too. Anytime a One Direction commercial came on the screen, everyone would scream. It was insane.
It took a little while for the opening act to come on state. I knew the band, 5 Seconds of Summer, but only knew a few of their songs. They were really quite good, and I do like their music. Their part was really long though. It was about an hour, which was fine, but it's hard to really rock out when you don't know their songs. They did a great job though. (Picture is of Luke Hemmings...the cutest one!)
When 5SOS were done, there was a short/not really short intermission. It was actually quite long, but it was worth it. I have to admit, I was really extremely, super excited. It's one thing to just see video of them, but to be in the same room as them? Pretty sweet. As soon as the lights went down, the screaming began. They had a video to introduce the boys, then you hear "Straight off the plane to a new hotel...." Followed by a few thousand girls screaming!

I didn't cry, though I nearly did. I just kept smiling and saying, "Oh my gosh, oh my gosh!" over and over. It was crazy. Of course I know all their songs, so it was easy to let loose and sing along. It was so loud, I could feel the bass beating in my chest.
They were so fun to watch. They just look like their having so much fun out there. I can't even imagine the rush of going out on a stage and having thousands of people just screaming for you.

The best part was when Harry asked some girl whose birthday it was what her name was. I SWEAR he said Breanne. I will let you listen to the video that I found on instagram. It sounds like he said my name, but then it sounds like he said Reanne, however, I still know what it's like to have Harry Styles say my name! (Don't judge me!)

Ahhh..I just still can't believe I was there. It was an amazing concert, and I really am so grateful for all those who helped get me there. We didn't get home until like 1:30 in the morning. But, it was totes worth it.

And Linds, it was fun to go with you. I think we should make this an annual thing! ;)

After 12 years, we finally broke down and bought a "new" car. We have saved our money, and have been driving very hand-me-down cars, so this was a fun adventure. Even though I have NOTHING against getting loans (loans keep me employed, AND if used properly, can help you build credit!) we were able to pay cash for it. It was hard handing over the money.

Waiting at the dealership to purchase it.
Ahhh.....so hard to let go of that cash!
But it is pretty, and fancy, and definitely an upgrade from our 2003 Chevy Malibu. Sharknado is a 2015 Chevy Malibu, and we love him.(Greg mostly!)

We may have drove it around just to drive it. We are cool like that, but we're grateful for it, and feel good about this purchase...
